We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a leading commercial real estate organization on a contract basis. In this role, you will support day-to-day payables operations by managing invoice flow, coordinating approvals, and helping maintain accurate financial records. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can work effectively with vendors and internal teams while contributing to timely payment processing and reporting activities.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming purchase orders and vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and prepare items for timely processing.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to secure required approvals and ensure expenses are coded correctly before payment.
• Maintain strong communication with vendors by answering inquiries, addressing discrepancies, and supporting positive ongoing relationships.
• Partner with the accounts payable team to set up new vendors and confirm documentation is complete and compliant.
• Investigate payment issues, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve outstanding account differences efficiently.
• Assist with scheduled payment activity, including check runs and other disbursement tasks, to support on-time settlements.
• Contribute to budget monitoring and financial reporting by keeping payable records organized and up to date.
• Use systems such as AvidXchange and Concur to manage invoice workflows and support payables administration.• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Practical knowledge of invoice processing, invoice coding, and payment coordination.
• Experience supporting check runs and reconciling vendor accounts with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage vendor communications professionally and resolve payment-related issues effectively.
• Familiarity with Concur; exposure to AvidXchange is strongly preferred.
• Background in commercial real estate or a similar property-related environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
