A leading publisher is seeking a Book Designer to support their creative team. This temporary role is located in New York City, with onsite work Monday-Thursday and remote Fridays optional. Candidates should have at least 3 years of book design experience, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and strong typography and layout skills. Book Designer Responsibilities: Develop and refine layouts for hardcover and paperback books, ensuring design consistency. Make corrections to reprints and prepare mechanical files for production. Present design concepts and revisions to art directors and editors for feedback. Collaborate with team members and external departments to meet project deadlines. Support the design team with various tasks related to book development and production. Book Designer Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of professional book design experience. Proven talent in creating innovative book layouts, typography, and use of color. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
