Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records.This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of payroll management and technical accounting principles.

Duties

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and inquiries regarding payments.
• Assist in month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Support payroll management tasks as needed, including coordination with payroll software such as Ceridian or Paychex.
• Ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards in all accounting practices.
• Provide assistance during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Experience

• Previous experience in accounts payable or a related finance role is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software is essential; experience with Ceridian, Paychex, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and public accounting practices is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining independence in task execution.
